1950s Russian Hermitage commemorative medal

This fabulous medal was struck in the 1950s to commemorate the Russian Hermitage. The obverse depicts two high relief semi-clad figures on colonnades supporting a square entrance in the foreground with the Hermitage in lower lightly gilded relief in the background. The reverse has 5 rectangular cartouches of varying lengths each with a depiction of the 5 buildings that comprise the Hermitage with Cyrillic inscriptions and dates. There is a monogram beneath the cartouches. The rim is unmarked.
