Georg Jensen silver fringe necklace designed by Bent Gabrielsen

This iconic silver necklace is by Georg Jensen the Danish silversmith. Originally designed by Bent Gabrielsen in 1953 this one is later being hallmarked for 1967. The necklace consists of 52 solid silver interlocking propellor shaped links. It has a hook and eye fastener although the propellor link on one end acts as the hook so that once fastened the necklace appears seamless. there is a figure of 8 safety catch. It has the post 1945 mark for Jensen namely the oval cartouche stamped Georg Jensen with an internal border of dots. It is also impressed 925s Denmark 115. It is hallmarked for Georg Jensen London and the year 1967. It is presented in a black Georg Jensen box. A lovely piece.
