Description:

A c.1976 Silver gilt cake stand and cake lifter by Robert John Turner.

The large circular plate has a bark finished gilt rim and steps down to the inner part of the plate.  The plate is mounted on a tapering hollow silver stand which is bark finished and gilded on the foot of the stand.

The silver cake lifter has a gilded and bark finished handle and a wide tapered bottom.

The two items carry the London hall mark for 1979 and the makers mark Robert John Turner
