Mike Hunter/Twists Glass zanfirico and incalmo "Peacock" vase

This glorious vase was made by Mike Hunter for Twists Glass in 2011. It has white, blue and white and blue white and black zanfirico canes with blue murrines that have been positioned amongst the twisting white zanfirico canes to give the impression of the "eye" of the peacock feather, hence its name "Peacock". The incalmo top is in a rich cobalt blue. Signed "M Hunter Twists 11 Peacock".
This vase together with another in red that is currently in a private collection, were the prototypes for the Peacock range.
