Jewels by Scarab silver gilt saphiret & glass drop earrings for pierced ears

These ovely earrings have oval saphirets set in gilded silver rubover mounts.
Suspended from the saphirets are opaque white glass drops in gilded metal acanthus leaf settings.
The earrings have posts and butterflies for pierced ears.

We have had the glass drops for some time.
They probably date to the early part of the 20th century
We bought them many years ago because we loved them and knew that one day we would have a use for them.
